Program Overview

What This Program Does

Parents and caregivers play the most important role in a child's development, which is why our Parent Training Programme equips families with the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills needed to support children with special needs. Reach & Touch Charity Initiative recognizes that raising a child with a disability can present emotional, financial, and social challenges, and our programme is designed to ensure that no family walks that journey alone.

Through interactive workshops, support groups, one-on-one coaching, and educational seminars, parents learn effective communication techniques, behaviour management strategies, home-based therapy activities, inclusive parenting practices, and methods for promoting independence in their children. We also provide guidance on navigating educational systems, accessing healthcare services, understanding disability rights, and advocating for their children's needs within schools and communities.

The programme creates opportunities for families to connect, share experiences, and build supportive networks that reduce isolation while encouraging resilience and hope. Mental health and caregiver wellness are also central to our approach, with counselling sessions and emotional support designed to help families maintain their well-being while caring for their loved ones.

By empowering parents with practical knowledge and emotional support, we strengthen the entire family unit and improve long-term outcomes for children. Our Parent Training Programme transforms caregivers into confident advocates, capable educators, and compassionate leaders who help build inclusive communities where every child has the opportunity to flourish.
